Apron adult black with bright Village Embroidery
Adult cotton apron made by women in rural Namibia. They embroider their story by embroidery and process their experiences and problems. The women meet weekly to evaluate each other's products, hand them in and receive new material and new thread. Embroidery is possible everywhere; While you wait by the fountain, talk to your neighbor or even in the hospital waiting room. It is more difficult when the sun goes down, which is why many women have small rechargeable sunlight now. For example, they can now work at night without fear of fire or sparks destroying their work. Size: 76 cm x 70 cm. Available in black with bright stitching. The embroidery designs in the village vary depending on the story each Penduka embroidery woman has to tell (village scenes, fetching water, Katutura street scenes ...). Robust material, 100% cotton, machine washable. Weight 150 grams.
