Penduka is one of the most beautiful projects I know: creativity as a driver to empower women through education and from there improve the well-being of the community.
In 1996, after my studies interior design, I worked as a volunteer at Penduka. I participated in the conversion of a boat house to a textile workshop and made the first lay-outs for the guesthouses.  All very hands-on, no blue-print, use your skills, learn and pass your knowledge on.

Now I am working  as a workplace consultant, designing interiors for companies and the educational market. Together with my husband, we have two fantastic daughters.
In january 2016 I have joined the board of Penduka Multicultureel in the Netherlands. It is rewarding to contribute to the project that has been an inspiration for the past 20 years - an opportunity to keep growing - together with Penduka.
